Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Herb Rub:
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ pounds beef tenderloin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, thyme leaves, rosemary leaves, black pepper, and salt to create the herb rub.
3. Pat the beef tenderloin dry with a paper towel.
4. Rub the herb mixture all over the tenderloin, coating it evenly.
5. Place the tenderloin on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.
6. Remove the tenderloin from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
7. Slice the beef tenderloin into thick slices and serve.
Note: For added flavor, you can also let the beef tenderloin marinate in the herb rub for 30 minutes to an hour before grilling.
