Greek Chicken Souvlaki Skewers:


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes


  • In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the chicken cubes in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, turning once or twice.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  • Grill the chicken skewers for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve hot with tzatziki sauce and a side of Greek salad or whole wheat pita bread.
